Soccer Clubs Benefit from New Tango Analytics
Enhanced Interaction with Data and Video Helps Study and Improve Performance
EMERYVILLE, CA – Four months ago California-based Match Analysis announced the release of Tango Analytics; a new, upgraded version of their popular Tango Online cloud-based video and statistical platform. Since then their clients have been taking advantage of the enhanced user experience combined with increased benefits and insights to further improve player and team performances.
Presenting comprehensive statistical data as interactive team, player and match reports with charts, timelines, rankings, and info-graphics fully integrated with the corresponding match video, Tango has revolutionized how teams analyze their own team and opponent performances.
“The Match Analysis product suite is excellent. We rely on Mambo Studio with K2 Panoramic video extensively for our week-in-week-out preparation,” commented Jay Heaps, Head Coach of the New England Revolution. “The updates and expanded features in the new Tango Analytics are fantastic tools. The site is very fast and user friendly. Having the ability to compare and rank players and teams across multiple statistics of our choosing is excellent for evaluating our players and squad against the rest of MLS to identify opportunities and competitive advantages.”
The revisions introduced within Tango Analytics have added a wide range of new analytical features, developed to augment how clubs interact with data and video to provide deeper performance insights. These include:
- Seasonal performance tracking comparing players and reviews trends from single games or across multiple matches.
- A complete “All-in-One” view across the entire season for comparative analysis and trend visualization of players or teams.
- Player comparison evaluations using a unique performance modelling tool for instant ranking based on customizable KPI’s.
- Multi-parameter comparison against a pool of players, allowing analysis of the multi-axis nature of player performance.
In addition to the streamlined interface, updated graphics and new features, significant platform innovations also provide clubs with increased speed, greater mobile compatibility and upgraded video player performance and functionality. As a result, Tango Analytics has played an even larger part in Match Analysis clients’ pre and post-match preparation, with a noticeable increase in page views by coaching, fitness and technical staff, analysts, plus the players themselves.
“Major League Soccer is incredibly competitive and our coaching staff looks for every advantage. Match Analysis’ technology and data are essential for improving our player and team performance, and enables me to be extremely efficient with my time, which is critical in my role. I can literally retrieve any event or sequence of events from any match for our coaches and players to review in both broadcast and Panoramic Video instantly using Mambo Studio,” said Ashley Wallace, Performance Analyst for Sporting KC. “We take advantage of Tango Analytics to study trends, and key performance indicators for players and teams. The new ‘all-in-one’ charts and graphs have become indispensable. They provide tremendous insights we leverage for every match.”
“The feedback from our clients about Tango Analytics and its integration within the full Match Analysis product suite to deliver maximum impact throughout their organization has been incredibly positive,” said Mark Brunkhart, Match Analysis’s President. “Teams have pointed out how Tango Analytics solves the problem of accessing and making sense of data to use it in a meaningful way. Every stat and the corresponding video from every match throughout their entire season is available at the click of a button enabling them to instantly review their own team’s performances and study upcoming opponents. This information and power is not available with any other system.”
